A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering transport planning, civil engineering, drainage and infrastructure design services across a wide range of development-led projects is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Milton Keynes office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on broader project responsibility within a collaborative consultancy environment delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use infrastructure schemes.

Role

You’ll work alongside transport planners and infrastructure engineers supporting the delivery of highways and drainage design packages across development projects from early feasibility through to detailed design and approvals.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Highways and drainage infrastructure design
  • SuDS strategies and drainage layouts
  • S278 / S38 infrastructure packages
  • Flood mitigation and development infrastructure coordination
  • Supporting planning and technical approval processes
  • Liaising with local authorities, clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Preparation and review of technical drawings, reports and design documentation
  • Mentoring/supporting junior engineers where required

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ UK consultancy experience within civil/infrastructure engineering
  • Experience across highways and drainage infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of SuDS, S278/S38 and development-led infrastructure design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Comfortable taking ownership of technical delivery and project coordination
