This Building Service Engineer role is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled commercial or industrial facilities professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a variety of work. You will be supporting the Facilities department while also assisting the Mechanical department when required, carrying out remedial repairs, PPM, installations, inspections and compliance-led work across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out a wide range of remedial repairs, planned preventative maintenance and refurbishment works across commercial and industrial environments.
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and undertaking repairs to heating systems, pipework, plant rooms, sanitary ware, pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment.
- Installing, maintaining and commissioning boilers, heating systems, plumbing systems and associated plant in line with current industry standards.
- Completing inspection, testing and compliance activities on both new and existing installations, ensuring work meets Gas Safe, Water Regulations, Building Regulations and company procedures.
- Accurately completing all required documentation, including commissioning records, test certificates, service reports, job sheets and associated paperwork through company systems.
Qualifications:
- City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating.
- Commercial or Domestic Gas qualifications.
- Full clean UK driving licence, along with personal hand tools and battery drills as a minimum.
- A hands-on, organised and professional approach, with good communication skills and pride in delivering quality work.
