A well established building services consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding team. The business delivers technically challenging projects within contractor–led design and build environments. The team works closely with contractors, consultants, and clients to provide practical, high quality mechanical design solutions from detailed design through to project completion. The Role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of Stage 4 and Stage 5 mechanical building services design within fast–paced design & build environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed mechanical designs, supporting project delivery, managing technical coordination and contributing to client relationships as the business continues to grow. Projects span a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, commercial, education, industrial, residential, pharmaceutical, and public sector developments, with involvement in technically complex M&E, BIM‑led, and sustainable building services projects from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Stage 4 and Stage 5 mechanical building services designs
  • Work within contractor–led design & build project environments
  • Produce and coordinate detailed mechanical design information
  • Develop and manage Revit models and technical drawings
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients
  • Support projects through technical coordination and delivery stages
  • Take ownership of project responsibilities and work independently where required
  • Contribute to the development of client relationships and future business opportunities
