Future Prospects Group are proud to present a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an established engineering company on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
- Collaborate with a team to design and manufacture control panels.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team during the quotation and project bidding process.
- Prepare technical datasheets to support tender submissions and customer proposals.
- Produce detailed General Arrangement (GA), schematic and label drawings.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) using ERP system.
- Interpret and work from fabrication drawings (SolidWorks).
- Prepare test certificates and associated project documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, industry regulations and company procedure.
- Participate in project and team meetings to review progress, resolve technical challenges and support successful project delivery.
The Candidate
- Experience in the design of electrical control panels.
- Experience in electrical design involving both single–phase and three–phase voltage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high–quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design principles (desirable).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including RS485, RJ45, serial communications and related interfaces (desirable).
- Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
