About the Opportunity

Talent Motion works in Partnership with the world’s leading Commercial Property Consultancy, looking to find an EPC Divisional Leader to head up its non-domestic EPC service line within a well-established Building Performance & Optimisation/M&E Consultancy team. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and scaling a high-impact service line that sits at the heart of building performance, decarbonisation, and regulatory compliance management across a diverse property portfolio. You will play a key role in helping clients improve energy performance, meet MEES requirements and transition toward Net Zero, while influencing both design-stage decisions and operational strategies.

The Role

As the EPC Service Leader, you will take ownership of technical delivery, service growth, and innovation across EPC Levels 3–5 and wider energy modelling services. Working within a multidisciplinary Building Performance & Optimisation team, you’ll coordinate internal specialists and external partners to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs while developing new, scalable service offerings, helping to close the performance gap and reduce the carbon footprint of existing buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the non-domestic EPC service line, ensuring compliant, technically robust delivery up to Level 5 EPCs
  • Drive service growth across capability, resource, geographic reach, and client application
  • Undertake and oversee Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) to support EPC certification and design decisions
  • Deliver scenario modelling for:
  • MEES compliance strategies
  • EPC uplift pathways
  • Operational energy (EUI) impacts
  • Carbon reduction analysis
  • Manage and coordinate external EPC assessors and modelling partners
  • Develop scalable methodologies, templates, and client-ready reporting outputs
  • Expand service offerings including:
    • EPC+ advisory
    • MEES strategies
    • Light-touch Net Zero / EUI modelling for early-stage feasibility
  • Provide technical input into wider services such as:
    • ESOS / SECR
    • Energy optimisation studies
    • Metering strategies
    • Heat network assessments
  • Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams across property, engineering, and consultancy disciplines
  • Oversee quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and develop junior assessors and engineers
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes across EPC, MEES, DSM, and Net Zero frameworks, translating these into actionable service improvements
  • About You

    • Qualified Non-Domestic EPC Assessor (Level 4–5) with significant delivery experience.
    • Strong expertise in:
    • Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM)
    • Building physics & fabric performance
    • HVAC systems and low‑carbon design
  • Proven track record in:
    • EPC uplift strategies
    • MEES compliance modelling
    • Operational energy and ESG considerations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear client insights
  • Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
  • Strong communication skills with experience producing high-quality reports and presentations
  • A proactive mindset toward innovation, service development, and scalable growth
