Our client is a Building Services consultancy providing single source solutions to the construction industry, property owners and property managers. They provide solutions on all aspects of Building Services Commissioning and Client Verification and have been at the forefront of Commissioning Management for over 35 years. As a result of growth, they are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Review all commissioning related documentation
  • Review the testing and commissioning process and plan
  • Identify risks to the project and any potential opportunities
  • Review and report against installation progress
  • Review trade contractors method statements
  • Attend regular commissioning meetings
  • Attend off-site and factory witness tests
  • Witness system pre-commissioning and setting to work activities
  • Witness commissioning activities
  • Witness all integrated system testing
  • Witness all performance / environmental testing
  • Witness testing of life safety systems in conjunction with relevant Statutory Authorities
  • Provide detailed reports to the client at agreed frequency
  • Issue a final summary report to the project team confirming that the services have been correctly installed and commissioned to specification
  • Identify any outstanding works, snags or potential latent risks
  • System commissionability reviews
  • Development of the commissioning plan

When applying for this role as Electrical Commissioning Engineer you will have skills and/or experience in the following items in order to be successful:

  • Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven UK experience in commissioning management.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical systems and integration within building environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of British standards and building regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Development of the commissioning programme, including identification of the critical path and construction milestone drivers.
  • Production and installation monitoring to specification and standards.
  • Production of monitoring documents to track factory acceptance tests, method statement production, testing, commissioning and final acceptance and sign-off.
