Immediate opportunity for an Engineer skilled with both control panel design and PLC software development who is looking for technically challenging projects, modern automation technology and a genuinely supportive engineering environment. Control Systems Engineer – The Role:

  • Design and specify industrial control systems, machine safety solutions, and electrical hardware for bespoke automation projects
  • Develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Create controls architectures and write technical specs & process flow diagrams
  • Collaborate closely with Design & Applications Engineers to ensure on‑time, high‑quality project delivery
  • Program, test & commission PLC based industrial control systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
  • Conduct electrical testing & validation on newly built machines
  • Conduct electrical testing and commissioning of new systems
  • Support system installation and provide aftercare (minimal UK/international travel less than 5%)

Control Systems Engineer – The Person:

  • 3+ years experience in PLC programming and electrical control panel design
  • Strong understanding of machine safety standards and electrical regulations
  • Solid understanding of industrial communications (Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO–Link, etc.)
  • Degree in Electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering
  • Interest in robotics, intelligent automation or AI‑driven automation advantageous
