Our client is a London-based, family-run company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of commercial kitchen solutions for the foodservice industry. Established in the early 1980s, it has built a long-standing reputation through decades of experience and a hands-on, multi-generational approach. They are now looking for an experienced Commercial catering gas engineer to join their growing team, working on high-end commercial kitchen projects and with current clients.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering equipment, ensuring all gas appliances are operating safely and efficiently. This role involves working on a variety of sites including restaurants, hotels, and large-scale commercial kitchens.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas catering equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics on a range of appliances
- Carrying out gas safety inspections and certifications
- Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations
- Attending reactive call-outs and planned maintenance visits
- Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (e.g. COMCAT 1, 2, 3, 5)
- Proven experience working on commercial catering equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workload efficiently
