A growing transport planning and infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Transport Planner to join its Cambridge team due to continued project growth across residential, mixed-use and infrastructure‑led developments. This opportunity would suit a transport planner looking for broader technical exposure, greater project responsibility and the chance to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
The Role
You’ll support the delivery of development‑led transport planning projects from early‑stage feasibility through to planning support and technical delivery, working closely with clients, local authorities and design teams.
Typical Responsibilities
- Preparation of Transport Assessments & Transport Statements
- Travel Plans and supporting planning documentation
- Junction capacity assessments and transport strategy support
- Development‑led transport planning across residential and mixed‑use schemes
- Stakeholder, client and local authority liaison
- Supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure and active travel projects
- Assisting with project coordination and technical delivery
Ideal Background
- UK consultancy experience within transport planning
- Experience delivering development‑led transport planning projects
- Knowledge of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and junction modelling
- Strong stakeholder communication and client‑facing skills
- Experience working across residential and mixed‑use developments
