Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be assisting their client in the search for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing and highly regarded consultancy delivering innovative and sustainable building services solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take a lead role in project delivery, working across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential, healthcare and industrial sectors.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams from concept through to completion.
The Role
- Lead the delivery of mechanical building services design including HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing systems
- Manage projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to client expectations
- Collaborate with clients, architects and engineering teams to develop tailored design solutions
- Review and approve calculations, drawings and specifications
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles
- Attend site visits and project meetings to ensure design intent is achieved
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered or working towards CEng
- Strong experience in mechanical design within consultancy or similar environment
- In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES or Hevacomp
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational ability
