A growing multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil / Infrastructure Engineer to join its Cambridge team due to continued project growth across highways, drainage and active travel infrastructure schemes. This opportunity would suit an engineer with strong experience delivering development infrastructure, public realm and active travel projects who is looking for broader technical and project exposure within a collaborative consultancy environment.

The Role

You’ll support the delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure packages across a wide range of residential, public realm, active travel and multidisciplinary schemes. The role offers strong involvement across project coordination, detailed design and stakeholder engagement. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Highways and drainage infrastructure design
  • SuDS strategies and flood mitigation works
  • Active travel and public realm scheme delivery
  • S278 / S106 infrastructure packages
  • Detailed design coordination across multidisciplinary projects
  • Stakeholder and client liaison throughout project delivery
  • Supporting technical delivery using Civil 3D and drainage software

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years’ UK consultancy experience across highways, drainage, infrastructure or active travel projects
  • Experience delivering public realm or multidisciplinary civils schemes
  • Strong technical capability across SuDS, highways and drainage design
  • Familiarity with S278 / S106 delivery
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
