Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a range of building services projects. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role includes producing design calculations, drawings, and specifications, as well as supporting sustainability initiatives and site coordination.
Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or an HNC/HND with relevant experience
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in building services design
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Amtech, Relux/DIALux, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, British and European Standards
- Understanding of renewable technologies and sustainable design principles
- Working knowledge of BREEAM and an appreciation of electrical engineering
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IET)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
