Senior Mechanical Engineer

What will you be doing?
- Leading mechanical design and engineering projects from concept through to manufacture and installation
- Producing and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Managing project timelines, budgets and technical deliverables
- Supporting customer meetings and technical discussions
- Coordinating with manufacturing, procurement and installation teams
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- Driving continuous improvement across engineering standards and processes

You’ll be joining a well–established engineering business specialising in bespoke mechanical handling and engineered systems projects across a range of industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are expanding their engineering team in Barnsley.
- What you'll need
- Strong mechanical engineering and project delivery experience
- Experience within mechanical handling, special purpose machinery, industrial equipment or heavy engineering environments
- Proficiency using 3D CAD packages such as Solid Works, Inventor or similar
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM and engineering best practice
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline preferred
