About the role

This role offers the opportunity to build, structure and develop the current online learning catalogue by overseeing processes to support the continued growth of the business. The coordinator will work alongside the Training Development Manager and Training Manager to continue to support our delegates and clients to ensure we have the most efficient operations in place. This includes building courses on our LMS, creating automations, dashboards, reports, and videos.

The Online Learning Coordinator is the first point of contact for any online enquiries and is required to manage the MyLearning inbox along with all client communications for Online Learning. They also send communications to corporate and individual learners regarding content or system changes and financial updates. The Online Coordinator works with the Training team to support the delivery and maintenance of online training through the LMS, CRM and website and any relevant queries through the Training inbox.

The Online Learning Coordinator must be confident in the authoring and instructional design of online courses. They must recognise opportunities for growth and expansion on our digital platform and have a clear understanding of any emerging trends within online training. Collaborating with contractors, the Training Development Manager, Marketing, and the Training Manager to deliver new and revised online courses according to the technologies available and following the quality assurance processes for online learning.

It is the task of the Online Learning Coordinator to ensure that CIBSE training courses are up to our competitors’ standards e.g. up-to-date, accurate, educational, and inspiring. Looking at all aspects in terms of training content, identifying new formats, and designing elements that can be used on our digital platform, updating it as needed so that it is a value led proposition. It is required that the Learning Management System is kept refreshed and that the settings for enrolments and exams are created, monitored, and reported on a regular basis.

What you will do

  • Coordinate all aspects of online training (research, design, delivery, and quality improvement).
  • Monitoring, responding, and reporting on feedback from our online learning modules, courses, and exams.
  • Processing all income and expenditure for online learning.
  • Creating monthly financial reports.
  • Ensuring all automated systems are reviewed, tested, and updated accordingly with specific focus on the integration between our CRM and LMS and public website.
  • Overseeing the setup of our online exams, making sure they are operating correctly to comply with regulations.
  • Add or edit any online exams on the LMS, and ensure they are automatically graded and tracked.
  • Oversee instructional design improvement for all online course materials.
  • Support the rest of the Training team with training delivery as required by the Training Manager e.g. annual set up of all events on the CRM and website, answering the Training team phoneline, attendance at events and conferences for cross promotion of training.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all existing CIBSE policies and guidelines are adhered to by the Training team, particularly for exam related training.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform other related tasks to meet the overall business objectives of the Institution.
