Mechanical Design Engineer in Warrington

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a pioneering medtech company specialising in innovative plastic moulded components and automation solutions within the healthcare and life sciences sector. • Proven experience in product or mechanical design, with a focus on plastics, polymers, and moulded components, particularly injection moulding processes.
• Hands–on experience designing, prototyping, testing, and iterating mechanical solutions within a regulated industry such as medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of materials properties, tolerancing, and processing parameters for plastics and polymer components.
• Ability to translate concepts through CAD modelling and detail drawings, with practical experience in physical prototyping and validation.
• Experience in design–for–manufacture, collaborating with tooling and production partners to scale prototypes into repeatable products.
• Familiarity with robotics, automation, or mechatronics applied within medical devices or healthcare equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent problem–solving skills with the ability to independently own projects from inception to delivery, balancing creativity with regulatory considerations.
