Our client is a reputable organisation involved in large–scale, complex engineering projects in the nuclear sector, recognised for prioritising safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical tooling and engineering solutions for project requirements.
- Produce comprehensive engineering design packages, including drawings, specifications, and substantiation reports.
- Prepare documentation such as NFRs, OIMS, CDM Risk Assessments, and Residual Design Risk Registers.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide support to the Principal Engineer.
- Ensure adherence to Sellafield engineering standards and compliance with CDM regulations throughout project delivery.
- Must–have Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical design experience within a regulated industry.
- In–depth knowledge of CDM regulations and designer responsibilities.
- Proven ability to produce design packages suitable for manufacture and installation.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
Essential Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Nice–to–have Skills
- Experience in nuclear or decommissioning projects.
- Understanding of legacy facilities, contaminated environments, and retrieval operations.
