Our client, a growing engineering specialist, is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on projects spanning 11k V to 400k V for a range of clients.
The Role
You'll take ownership of electrical designs from concept through to construction support, including:
- HV substation design across the 11k V–400k V range
- Protection and control system design, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Cable schedules, sizing and earthing design
- Equipment specification (transformers, switchgear)
- Attending design reviews and client meetings
- Supporting procurement and commissioning
About You
- 5+ years' experience in HV electrical design, ideally across 11k V–400k V substations
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Solid grounding in protection and control philosophy
- Experience with Auto CAD Electrical and EPLAN (or similar)
- Confident liaising with clients and managing multiple work strands
Desirable
- IEC knowledge
- renewable energy or BESS project exposure.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
- IET Membership
