An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management business providing planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites throughout the East Midlands.

This is a mobile role offering a varied workload, paid travel time, regular overtime and realistic earnings in excess of

60,000 . Alongside commercial gas work, you'll also maintain associated HVAC and mechanical building services plant across a long-term portfolio of customer sites.

The Role

Working across the wider East Midlands, you'll be responsible for servicing, fault finding and repairing commercial heating and HVAC systems while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

You'll work independently, managing your own diary and building strong relationships with customers across your allocated sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on commercial gas heating systems.
  • Service, repair and maintain mechanical building services equipment including:
  • Commercial boilers
  • Pumps
  • Fans
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Associated HVAC plant
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Complete all service reports, compliance documentation and maintenance records accurately.
  • Carry out plant surveys and provide technical recommendations where required.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service while representing the business on site.
  • What You'll Need
  • Experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer, HVAC Engineer or Building Services Engineer.

• Current ACS Commercial Gas qualifications including

  • COCN1
  • CIGA1
  • CORT1
  • ICPN1
  • CDGA1
  • TPCP1
  • TPCP1A
  • Strong fault–finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience maintaining commercial heating and HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to work independently across a mobile region.
  • Comfortable working at height and within confined spaces when required.
  • Good communication and customer–facing skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
