  • We are looking for an experienced

Projects Engineer to join a busy mechanical contractor working on projects across the UK, including schools, hospitals and residential projects .

This is a varied role involving both project/site management and hands-on mechanical work .

The Role

  • Assist with managing projects from start to finish.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager and site teams.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress.
  • Manage workmanship, quality and site activities.
  • Liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Carry out site visits and surveys.
  • Assist with project planning and programmes.
  • Support commissioning and handover.
  • Manage snagging and defects through to completion.
  • Ensure RAMS, health & safety and CDM requirements are followed.
  • Identify and report variations and additional works.
  • Carry out hands-on mechanical installation, repairs and alterations when required.
  • Use hand and power tools as part of the role.
  • Attend sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays and night work when required.

About You

  • Experienced in mechanical installation and/or project engineering.
  • Strong practical mechanical knowledge.
  • Comfortable working on site and managing subcontractors.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications and site tickets are advantageous.
  • CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and other relevant tickets would be beneficial.
  • Willing to travel and stay away when required.
