Are you a recent Electrical or Electronics Engineering graduate or similar looking to kick–start your career with a fast–paced manufacturing business where you will receive hands–on training and develop your technical engineering skills? On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join an established sub–contract electronics manufacturer, where you'll be trained across a broad range of technical engineering activities while working on real customer products and supporting the manufacturing process from concept through to production. This role would suit a recent Electrical or Electronics Engineering graduate looking to build a career in electrical design and manufacturing, with an understanding of AutoCAD and a genuine interest in developing their practical engineering skills.
In this role, the successful candidate will support the Technical/Engineering team with:
- Reverse engineering of customer products and technical information
- Electrical component identification, sourcing, and assembly design
- Creating and updating bills of materials and supporting assembly costing
- Developing and revising wiring harness assembly and installation drawings
- Preparing technical and production documentation
- Supporting sample production during the NPI process
- Working alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues
- Providing technical support and training to operators as required
- Liaising with customers and internal teams to understand product requirements
Day shift, Monday to Friday with no weekends.
The Person:
- Recent graduate in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related subject
- Understanding of AutoCAD (Essential)
- Genuine interest in electrical/electronic design and manufacturing
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic IPC wiring standards (Preferred)
- Understanding of 3D modelling and design (Preferred)
- Familiarity with PPAP and DFMA (Preferred)
- Basic understanding of RS232/RS485 and Modbus TCP protocols (Preferred)
- Any knowledge of PCB design, Python, MySQL, or PLC programming would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
