Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Fareham office.
The Role
- Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary engineering team, you\'ll be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial concept through to completion.
- This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical design skills while working on a varied portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water services and public health systems.
- Produce mechanical calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Prepare detailed drawings and coordinated designs using Auto CAD and Revit.
- Assist with equipment selection and plant sizing.
- Carry out site surveys and attend client and design meetings.
- Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients throughout project delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Support the delivery of low–carbon and sustainable engineering solutions.
About You
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience within a Building Services consultancy (graduate level or above).
- Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services design.
- Experience using Auto CAD, with Revit experience advantageous.
- A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
- Excellent communication and problem–solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
