We're recruiting for a Mechanical Development Engineer to join a growing engineering business near Bradford.

As a Mechanical Development Engineer, you'll work closely with experienced engineers whilst taking ownership of your own projects and technical tasks.
- Mechanical Development Engineer – Responsibilities
- Produce mechanical designs and engineering drawings using 3D CAD.
- Perform engineering calculations to support product development activities.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost–effective to produce.
- Assist with product development projects from concept through to release.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Mechanical Development Engineer – Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, Solid Works, Solid Edge, Creo, or similar.
- Ability to perform mechanical engineering calculations and interpret engineering data.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacture.
- Strong problem–solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
- Experience working within a product development, R&D, or manufacturing environment.
