What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and enhance client relationships through executing the investment and wealth strategies of the IA as well as engaging financial planning and other wealth management resources of the team and CIBC more broadly.
  • Nurture and manage valuable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and CIBC partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and acquire referrals from existing book of business.
  • Help build and execute business plans, Wealth Management objectives and client service plans.
  • Support the IA by identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities, the achievement of business development, revenue, referral, retention, and compliance targets.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients to retain and grow the relationships.
  • Evaluate client's personal and investment needs and create an investment policy statement (IPS), asset allocation, investment portfolio, and financial plans.
  • Implement client strategies through the management of investment portfolios and the ongoing evaluation of performance according to each client's investment policy statement.
  • Drive new sales results through referrals and personal network.

How you’ll succeed:

  • Building relationships: Display high levels of interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively network, prospect, and build strong and trusting client relationships.
  • Investing: Develop investment plans and written proposals for prospects and clients. Analyse information/trends and apply it to individual client circumstances.
  • Collaborating: Participate in seminars for clients and prospects, in collaboration with team members. Demonstrate well-developed, interactive presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptual ideas to clients.

Who you are:

  • You’re a certified professional with current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative (RR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations.
  • You have a post-secondary degree/diploma and preferably 6 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • You have highly developed client service skills and are passionate about people.

  • You build trust through respect and authenticity.
