b Overview /b p As Director, you will lead London BIA Accounting’s support for UK Front Office and Treasury, ensuring accurate daily and month-end reporting and robust controls. You’ll partner with finance and infrastructure teams on initiatives that impact P L, balance sheets, and governance, driving continuous improvement. You work closely with senior management and cross-functional partners to translate financial results into actionable insights. This role offers the opportunity to shape accounting processes within a global bank and contribute to strategic initiatives from London. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide input on CIRAs and CIBC policies for assigned London businesses /li li Be Finance point of contact for accounting queries and communicate status/resolution /li li Liaise with other infrastructure areas on reporting for new initiatives and products /li li Lead BIA Accounting initiatives and projects; represent London BIA on project teams /li li Advise other Finance groups to promote process improvement /li li Ensure timely month-end and quarter-end reporting and balance sheet attestation by Toronto Accounting /li li Maintain governance and control across trading-related areas /li li Coordinate team administration as assigned by management /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Qualified Accountant is preferred /li li 3+ years of financial services experience in accounting roles /li li Knowledge of derivatives, fixed income and equity products /li li Strong organization and prioritization skills in dynamic environments /li li Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities /li li Self-motivated team player with problem-solving flexibility /li li Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines /li li Strong Excel skills; experience with AI technologies beneficial /li /ul ul li interpersonal skills /li li communication /li li influencing stakeholders /li li Derivatives knowledge /li li Fixed income and equity product understanding /li li Financial reporting and controls /li /ul
