We’re looking for an experienced Change Manager to support a major Facilities Management (FM) transformation programme within a leading defence organisation. If you are confident driving adoption, embedding operational change and engaging stakeholders across complex, structured environments, this role is for you.
Role overview: This is a client-facing, consultancy-focused role supporting the delivery of a strategic FM Governance & Process Framework programme. Working alongside a Process Improvement Lead, you will help ensure new governance structures, operational processes and ways of working are successfully adopted, embedded and sustained across FM teams and supplier interfaces.
This role requires a hands-on change professional who can bridge strategy, operational delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in translating governance and process design into practical adoption plans, communications, engagement activity and operational rollout support. Working across a complex and highly structured environment, you will help drive consistency, strengthen governance maturity and support long-term operational readiness across the FM function.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver practical change management approaches aligned to the FM Governance & Process Framework
- Translate governance and process design into structured rollout and adoption plans
- Identify and manage change impacts across FM teams, operational functions and supplier interfaces
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across leadership, operational and supplier environments
- Facilitate workshops, engagement sessions and co-design activity to support buy-in and reduce resistance
- Develop clear and structured communications explaining what is changing, why and how
- Tailor communications and engagement approaches for different stakeholder groups
- Support leaders with briefing materials, engagement content and adoption planning
- Help embed new governance and operational processes into day-to-day ways of working
- Support the creation of practical adoption tools including process maps, guidance and operational playbooks
What we’re looking for / Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Change Manager on complex transformation or operational improvement programmes
- Experience supporting the implementation of governance frameworks, operational processes or target operating models
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills within structured or regulated environments
- Experience facilitating workshops and driving stakeholder alignment across multiple business areas
- Ability to translate strategic change into practical operational delivery activity
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a transformation programme
- Experience within Facilities Management, operational services or defence environments would be highly desirable
- A collaborative, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
