Salary up to £65,000 DOE. Here at Churchview Vets, we are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, personable Veterinary Surgeons to join our welcoming and supportive team on a permanent basis. The role will include a mixture of consultations, routine surgeries, and medical workups to fill your day and nurture your interests. We offer excellent first opinion services giving our vets a varied and broad caseload.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Schedule and Facilities:
- 4 days per week with a minimum of 1 ops day per week.
- 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday only 9-1:30pm).
- Primary site will be Heswall but there will be a minimum of 1 x half shift doing consults only at the Neston branch.
- Recently refurbished and expanded our practice into the next-door building, giving us two additional consultation rooms, a brand new diagnostic suite, a large operating theatre, and separate dog and cat kennels.
- 4 Veterinary Surgeons (3FTE) plus 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses together with experienced Veterinary Care Assistants.

- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
