As an experienced Practice Nurse at Churchside you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our patients. You must be friendly, patient focussed, calm and organised, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels. We are seeking someone who provides compassionate care and has attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience working with SystmOne, but full training can be provided.
Main duties of the job:
- We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team working 24 hours per week. Working days would be Monday to Wednesday, and Wednesday would be a later start due to finishing at 8pm.
- In terms of your clinical capabilities, you should be someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs:
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
- Cytology
- Baby Immunisations
- Administer vaccines and medications as needed
- Chronic Disease Management (at least one; Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)
- Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices
- HRT Reviews
- Ordering & stock takes
- Fridge and Stock Rotations
- Dealing with Samples
- Wound Dressings & supporting the Healthcare Assistants with these
- Assist in Minor Surgical Procedures

Churchside Medical Practice are a GP surgery based in the heart of Mansfield where we have been serving our patients for over 20 years and care for nearly 7,000 patients.
