This role’s primary focus is to help manage our pipeline of new restaurant openings, both current and future projects through project management of the construction and procurement process and in collaboration with our franchisees and the Texas Chicken teams responsible for the markets. Additionally, this position will assist in the design of the units with our franchisees and in collaboration with the Texas Chicken Field teams. The role is also responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful franchise relationships, market planning, and real estate development that will enable the company to drive increased market share, unit growth, and EBITDA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and foster successful relationships with current franchisees to achieve unit growth goals across international markets.
  • Develop and implement action plans for key priority markets for target development; includes market and partner assessments, building relationships with our development partners.
  • Identify and develop targeted markets for higher growth and market penetration.
  • Identify potential franchise partners and leverage relationships with existing developers and personal contacts.
  • Deliver year-over-year on company development targets for new unit growth and net restaurant counts by utilizing effective development processes in cooperation with the regional leadership.
  • Support all aspects of the company’s international real estate development function including market mapping, site-selection, site approval, construction, image approval and prototype design.
  • Assist and manage the restaurant design process when and where appropriate, for both new restaurants and re-images.
  • Collaborate with franchisees, regional leadership, and Marketing during the design process to continually evolve and improve the design and efficiency of the restaurants.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management or design role within restaurant franchise system or 5+ years working within a large multinational franchise system above restaurant level.
  • Must have the ability to interface and maintain excellent professional relationships with a variety of audiences including franchise partners, operations, marketing, finance and legal departments.
  • Sound knowledge in forecasting and delivering development plans to accomplish specific goals.
  • Good understanding of finance (pro-formas, break evens, balance sheet, credit reports, asset validation, etc.).
  • Good understanding of market development – market planning, mapping models.
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills to include formal presentations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively internationally.
