You will be responsible for leading and managing a happy and productive crew and will be responsible for living our S.A.V.E values every day to ensure our customers receive the best quality sustainably sourced fish and chips in the UK.
To achieve that, you will receive all the training and support you need to thrive in your food career through our industry leading procedures and how to guides.
You will be your store’s food quality champion, coaching and mentoring your team to ensure that your restaurant delivers great quality food plus customer service that goes above and beyond our customers’ expectations.
The role would involve a mixture of day and evening shifts including weekends, depending on the business needs.
Duties:
You will work closely with the Restaurant team and support the Store Manager and Junior Manager to take charge of the full kitchen.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, creating, developing and introducing new menu items and weekly specials. Promote positive team management and appraisals, stock control and expenditure whilst supporting the Store Manager to maximise store turnover and profitability in an ethical manner.
Main Responsibilities:
- To prepare & cook all menu items in line with demand and to a high standard
- To get creative by introducing new menu items, weekly specials, and periodic promotional menus
- Deliver an exceptional level of customer service
- Leadership - great communication and role modelling to develop a high performing team
- Work closely with your Store Manager to maximise the turnover and profitability of the business in an ethical and rewarding manner.
- To operate tills and handle cash

At Churchill’s, our journey began way back in the early 1920s when Great Grandpa Harold, and wife Dorothy painstakingly saved all the money he earned from mining and playing amateur cricket for Accrington and moved from the north to Essex to buy their first ever fish and chip shop in in Romford, in 1923. Three generations of our family later, it’s safe to say we’re fish and chip super geeks through and through!
