Churchill are seeking Cost Managers and Senior Cost Managers to join our team supporting major data centre developments for a key global technology. The role is based in our Edinburgh office, and the successful candidate will be part of the commercial team managing the project from pre-contract development through to post-contract delivery and handover.

The role involves a wide range of activities including:

  • Commercial and cost management
  • Procurement advice and coordination
  • Risk management and profiling
  • Commercial reporting
  • Management of value engineering process
  • Point of contact for Churchill with the Client’s central and project teams
  • Contributing to the data gathering and application of lessons learned across various projects

Regular travel to Client data centre developments across EMEA is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commercial strategy, including procurement and contracting strategy
  • Risk identification, management and profiling
  • Post-Contract responsibilities including:
  • Commercial cost reporting
  • OFCI vendor commercial management including cashflow
  • Risk management and cost profiling
  • Vendor/consultants commercial reporting and cashflow management
  • Final account negotiation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or another construction-related discipline (required)
  • Consultant: Over 3 years’ post-graduate experience
  • Senior Consultant: Over 5 years’ post-graduate experience
