Churchill are seeking Cost Managers and Senior Cost Managers to join our team supporting major data centre developments for a key global technology. The role is based in our Edinburgh office, and the successful candidate will be part of the commercial team managing the project from pre-contract development through to post-contract delivery and handover.
The role involves a wide range of activities including:
- Commercial and cost management
- Procurement advice and coordination
- Risk management and profiling
- Commercial reporting
- Management of value engineering process
- Point of contact for Churchill with the Client’s central and project teams
- Contributing to the data gathering and application of lessons learned across various projects
Regular travel to Client data centre developments across EMEA is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Commercial strategy, including procurement and contracting strategy
- Risk identification, management and profiling
- Post-Contract responsibilities including:
- Commercial cost reporting
- OFCI vendor commercial management including cashflow
- Risk management and cost profiling
- Vendor/consultants commercial reporting and cashflow management
- Final account negotiation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or another construction-related discipline (required)
- Consultant: Over 3 years’ post-graduate experience
- Senior Consultant: Over 5 years’ post-graduate experience
