We're looking for an experienced HR Operations Partner to join our HR team, providing expert Employee Relations and operational HR support across our growing Transport division.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, unionised environment.
Working closely with operational managers, you'll provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, support organisational change activity, and help drive consistent people management practices across the division.
Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll be part of a supportive Employee Relations team, collaborating with colleagues across the wider People & Culture function.
Supporting a growing division with ongoing national mobilisations, you'll work closely with operational managers, providing expert Employee Relations advice and practical HR support to help drive operational success. As a HR Operations Partner you'll be:
- Acting as a trusted HR partner to operational managers, providing expert advice and guidance across a broad range of people matters.
- Leading complex Employee Relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing positive people and business outcomes across the division.
- Coaching and developing managers, building capability, confidence and consistency in people management practices.
- Supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures, redundancies, TUPE activity and performance improvement programmes.
- Working collaboratively across HR, Recruitment and Learning & Development to deliver joined-up people solutions, support talent development and drive continuous improvement.
As a HR Operations Partner you'll have
- Proven HR experience within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
- Strong Employee Relations expertise, including managing complex cases and providing commercially focused advice aligned to employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience partnering with operational leaders, influencing stakeholders and driving positive people outcomes.
- Experience supporting organisational change, including restructures, redundancy consultations and TUPE activity.
- Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build capability in others.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
