Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days
We are looking for a dedicated Waste Site Manager to join our Central Division, overseeing Waste Management operations on site in Castle Donington, Derby. You will be responsible for day-to-day waste management operations, ensuring high standards of health and safety and compliance with local environmental regulations, leading a small team. You will also act as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of waste collection, transportation, and disposal services
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Promote recycling and waste reduction programs
- Manage budgets and monitor financial performance of waste management operations
- Supervise and train waste management personnel
- Conduct audits and inspections of waste facilities and operations
- Implement health and safety guidelines for waste management operations
Qualifications
- Experience in waste management or environmental services (desired)
- Familiarity with waste management technologies and software (desired)
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in waste management (desired)
- Valid UK driver's license (essential)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- COTC Licence required (Certificate of Technical Competence) (desired)
