Salary: £35,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days

We are looking for a dedicated Waste Site Manager to join our Central Division, overseeing Waste Management operations on site in Castle Donington, Derby. You will be responsible for day-to-day waste management operations, ensuring high standards of health and safety and compliance with local environmental regulations, leading a small team. You will also act as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of waste collection, transportation, and disposal services
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Promote recycling and waste reduction programs
  • Manage budgets and monitor financial performance of waste management operations
  • Supervise and train waste management personnel
  • Conduct audits and inspections of waste facilities and operations
  • Implement health and safety guidelines for waste management operations

Qualifications

  • Experience in waste management or environmental services (desired)
  • Familiarity with waste management technologies and software (desired)
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in waste management (desired)
  • Valid UK driver's license (essential)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • COTC Licence required (Certificate of Technical Competence) (desired)
