Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to oversee the management and development of our Plumbing and Technical Services department across The Midlands and The North of England including parts of Scotland.
This role is ideal for a people-focused leader who is passionate about motivating teams, building and developing high‑performing teams, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of all planned and reactive plumbing works in the region.
You’ll be the main point of contact, helping to deliver exceptional high‑level service every day.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and develop Water Hygiene Plumbers and Technical Services Engineers.
- Manage the safe and effective delivery of all planned and reactive plumbing works in the region (e. g. water treatment installations, servicing & maintenance).
- Ensure departmental KPIs and revenue targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Act as a Health & Safety champion for the department and region.
- Provide the sales and account management team with technical plumbing and water treatment advice and guidance.
- Coordinate the engineers’ work and installations, tracking the progress of projects and engineers ensuring deadlines are being met.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working in the water hygiene plumbing and remedial engineering services industry.
- Experience leading plumbers or technical services engineering teams within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of the water treatment/legionella industry and legislation.
- Must possess NVQ level 2 or 3, or equivalent plumbing qualifications.
- Excellent communication, management and customer service skills.
- Experience in using field service software and Microsoft Office Package.
