About the role

Join Churchill Living as an Assistant Legal Counsel and work alongside the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel to provide practical legal advice and support across the business. You will collaborate closely with operational teams, helping them achieve their objectives while contributing to the wider goals of the Group. Full training and guidance will be provided across all aspects of the role.

•Provide non-contentious and contentious legal advice across a varied range of business matters.
•Support land acquisitions, plot sales and general property management.
•Draft and negotiate land, marketing, IT and construction contracts.
•Advise on contractual disputes, boundary issues, lease interpretation and other ad hoc legal matters.
•Help the business maintain regulatory compliance, including AML, FCA and GDPR requirements.
•Assist with company secretarial filings, statutory books and meeting minutes for Group companies.

•Provide legal administrative support for major transactions, liaising across departments to identify and collate relevant documentation.

This is a Head Office-based role in Ringwood, Hampshire, working five days a week. Some travel within the UK may be required.

About you

You may be newly or recently qualified as a solicitor and looking to build broad in-house experience within a small, supportive legal team. An initial understanding of real estate—particularly leasehold matters—or commercial property would be valuable, while experience in corporate or company law would be an advantage.

Most importantly, you will be proactive, enthusiastic and ready to take a positive, can-do approach. We welcome applications from newly qualified solicitors who are keen to learn, develop their experience and make a contribution across the business, irrespective of the breadth of their previous experience.
