Job Title
Senior Architectural Technologist
Based Onsite
Bromsgrove, B90 3DJ
Hours
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate detailed technical design information for retirement apartment developments
- Prepare drawings and models primarily using Revit, with legacy Auto CAD information converted where required
- Convert and maintain standard apartment layouts and standard technical details into structured 3D Revit models
- Produce site-specific technical details to support construction
- Check and approve suppliers' and manufacturers' technical information
- Liaise with NHBC and statutory bodies to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations and standards
- Attend monthly site meetings as required
- Liaise with external consultants to ensure coordinated, high-quality technical outputs
- Divisional Revit Advocate
- Act as a local point of contact for Revit usage, supporting best practice within the division
- Assist with the development, maintenance and consistent use of the divisional Revit standard library
- Support drawing and model coordination to help ensure information is clear, accurate and suitable for construction
- Review models and technical outputs for consistency, structure and quality
- Assist with coordination reviews and clash identification where required
- Help ensure project information is clearly structured and easily accessible for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide informal guidance, mentoring and first-line support to Revit users within the team
- Share feedback and practical improvements with the wider technical function to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- An HNC, HND or degree in a construction-related discipline (preferably Architectural Technology)
- At least 3 years' experience in a REVIT based role, with ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field
- Proven experience delivering technical design information for residential or multi-storey apartment buildings
- Good working knowledge of Revit, supported by experience and proficiency in Auto CAD
- An understanding of coordinated model working, including
- Logical model structure and drawing organisation
- Consistent naming conventions and version control
- Basic coordination and clash awareness
- Sound document and information management practices
- High competence in producing detailed technical construction drawings
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to support colleagues in a collaborative environment
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- A professional and discreet manner, as the role may involve advance access to potential development sites
