About the role
We are looking for a Customer Service Maintenance Technician who enjoys working independently and as part of a team.
You will provide professional support services to customers requiring repairs and alterations within their newly purchased Retirement Apartment. All work will be completed with a high standard of workmanship and provided complimentary to the customer from first occupation through the first two years of occupation.
As a Customer Service Technician you will predominantly be working in a customer facing role and therefore excellent people skills are essential.
Due to the travel requirement of the role, you will be predominately based at our Lodges, and will be provided with a Van in order to visit the Lodges within the region in need of assistance, the occasional overnight stay away from home will be required as part of your role.
You will also be provided with a hand held tablet / mobile phone to assist you with your daily tasks.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.30pm and Fridays 9.00am – 5.00pm.
About you
Due to the varied nature of the job, it is essential that you have knowledge and practicable experience of carpentry, plumbing, decorating and ideally will hold a basic electrical qualification. Previous experience in housebuilding would be advantageous.
It is also essential that you have a valid UK Drivers License in order to travel to each Lodge within the region and educated with a technical qualification in building, such as City & Guilds.
You will demonstrate professional customer service skills and communicate with our customers with tact and diplomacy. You will also have pride in your work and tidy after yourself when carrying out duties and repairs.
