About the role
The new HR Advisor joins Churchill at a very exciting time, as we enter our next phase of growth. As HR Advisor you will work with the Senior HR Business Partner and wider HR team to deliver the People plan providing HR support to Managers and Colleagues across the Company. This is a true generalist role with a great opportunity to get involved in a wide range of people related activity and work with Managers and Colleagues across all aspects of the Company.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing advice, guidance and coaching to Managers and Colleagues across the Company on ER and people matters
- Ensuring all probationary reviews and 121’s are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, providing advice to Managers as required to support this
- Supporting the recruitment team and Managers with interviewing and assessing candidates
- Coordinating our peer recognition programme
- Working with the HR Business Partners to undertake job evaluations and salary benchmarking
- Conducting all exit interviews, providing analysis of trends
- Conducting all new starter surveys to ensure our new Colleagues are receiving an effective induction to the Company
- Collating MI information from our internal HR system and providing data, highlighting themes identified
- Preparing key HR data/metrics including staff retention, diversity data, absence, best company data etc
- Conducting job evaluations including benchmark data and ensure that all information relating to current roles are up to date i.e., job descriptions and benefit schedules
- Reviewing and drafting policies, ensuring that all of our policies are fit for purpose and support our commitment to equality and diversity
This is an office-based role with requirement to travel to other regional offices on occasion. The hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Fridays.
About you
It’s important to us that you love what you do and believe in providing a HR service that puts the person at the centre of every decision, conversation, process improvement or policy.
Previous HR experience is a must, and you will ideally hold a CIPD Level 3 certificate or be currently studying towards your qualification. We would love to hear from passionate HR Advisors with lots of initiative and experienced HR Coordinators who are ready and motivated to take the next step in their career. Our ideal HR Advisor will be confident operating HR systems, as we have recently implemented People HR across the business.
It goes without saying that you will be organised, an effective communicator in person and on the telephone, with professional verbal and written skills, approachable, hard-working attitude and flexible. Travel will be required in this role, therefore access to a vehicle and a valid UK driver’s licence is required.
