Churchill Howard is recruiting a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, commercially focused finance team within a listed business. This role is ideally suited to either: A first-time mover from practice looking to make the transition into industry following ACA qualification, or a high-performing CIMA graduate scheme candidate seeking a more commercial, forward-facing finance role.

You’ll join a business known for developing talent, offering strong progression opportunities and exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

The Role

Working closely with commercial and operational teams, this position will give you exposure to high-impact financial analysis, business partnering, forecasting and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles
  • Delivering commercial insight and performance analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Acting as a finance business partner to operational and non-finance teams across the business
  • Supporting stakeholders with financial decision-making, cost control and performance improvement initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with department heads to challenge assumptions and improve commercial outcomes
  • Analysing trends, margins, costs and operational KPIs
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and management information packs
  • Building financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
  • Presenting financial insight and recommendations to senior management
  • Supporting process improvement and finance transformation initiatives

About You

We’re looking for ambitious, analytically strong finance professionals who are eager to build a long-term career within a leading commercial environment. Suitable backgrounds may include:

  • ACA qualified / recently qualified candidates making a first move from practice
  • Audit, Transaction Services, Deals or Advisory backgrounds welcomed
  • CIMA candidates from a graduate scheme or rotational programme
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach
  • Excellent Excel and analytical capability
