Churchill Howard is recruiting a Head of Finance for a market-leading services plc in Birmingham operating across a multi-site environment.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance to take full financial ownership of a significant division with revenues exceeding £100m. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will act as a key business partner to the divisional Managing Director, supporting strategic decision-making and driving improved commercial performance.
The role will lead on forecasting, budgeting and financial governance for the division, ensuring strong financial control, cash flow management, and balance sheet integrity. You will also lead and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring excellence in core financial processes alongside high-quality commercial insight. This position also offers exposure to wider UK initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic financial partnering with senior leadership
- Full P&L ownership including forecasting, budgeting, and governance
- Driving margin improvement, cost control, and cash flow optimisation
- Managing risks and identifying opportunities for growth
- Delivering clear, concise financial insight to support decision-making
- Leading process improvement, automation, and data-led reporting
- Managing and developing a high-performing finance team
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Significant senior-level commercial finance experience with P&L ownership
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge
- Demonstrable track record of improving financial performance
- Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and innovation
- Experience within a large, multi-site organisation
- Working knowledge of SAP
This Head of Finance role comes with a base salary of £90,000-£100,000 plus car allowance, 20% bonus and excellent wider benefits.
