Job Description Reporting Accountant Birmingham | Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant to join a well-established business in Birmingham in a broad Reporting Accountant role. This would suit someone who has recently completed their ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and is looking to take the next step in their career within a sizeable and commercially focused finance function. Working as part of the wider finance team, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting while gaining exposure across a varied business. The role Responsibilities are likely to include: Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting Preparation and review of management and statutory reporting information Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activity Providing analysis and commentary around financial performance Working with stakeholders across finance and the wider business Supporting audit requirements and process improvement Assisting with ad hoc reporting and wider finance projects About you We are looking for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting. You may currently be working in practice and considering your first move into industry, or already be working within a finance team and looking for a broader role with greater exposure. You will ideally have: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be at the point of qualifying Strong financial accounting and reporting knowledge Good analytical skills and attention to detail Confidence working with financial data and Excel Strong communication skills A proactive approach and willingness to develop A strong opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking to build their experience within a broad reporting role and continue developing both their technical and commercial finance skillset.
