You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, influencing decisions around profitability, pricing, cost optimisation, working capital, sustainability, and long-term growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action - challenging assumptions, spotting opportunities, and turning data into commercially meaningful insight.

The Role

As a Senior FP&A / Commercial Finance Analyst, you will act as a key business partner across multiple divisions, owning performance analysis and forward-looking insight. You'll drive the planning cycle, support major decision-making, and continuously improve how performance is measured and communicated. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on analysis, offering exposure well beyond traditional reporting and a genuine voice in shaping business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver insight on pricing, cost optimisation, margin drivers, working capital, and sustainability performance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and influence management decisions with clear, evidence-based analysis.
  • Business Partnering & Decision Support
    • Partner with senior finance and operational leaders to support strategic and operational decisions.
    • Develop scenario modelling and simulations around key drivers such as price, volume, cost, FX, and mix impacts.
    • Provide forward-looking insight to support investment decisions, resource allocation, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Planning & Forecasting
    • Play a central role in budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning cycles.
    • Improve the quality, consistency, and timeliness of planning across business units.
    • Challenge assumptions and ensure plans are commercially robust and outcome-focused.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Produce high-quality management and executive-level reporting that tells a clear performance story.
    • Translate complex financial data into concise, visually engaging insights for non-finance stakeholders.
    • Support the development of strong financial storytelling across the wider finance community.
  • Process Improvement & Projects
    • Lead commercial finance and FP&A projects that improve insight, efficiency, and decision support.
    • Drive continuous improvement in tools, reporting, and analytical capability, reducing manual effort and improving data quality.
    • Develop new models, templates, and dashboards to support evolving business needs.

  • Experience
    • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience.
    • Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills
    • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
    • Experience with financial planning systems and BI tools (e.g. QlikView or similar).
    • Strong modelling, scenario analysis, and data visualisation capability.
  • Commercial & Personal Attributes
    • Highly commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence.
