Churchill Howard are recruiting for a Head of Group Reporting for a leading Midlands plc, a great opportunity to use your technical finance experience and lead a team to deliver best in class external reporting.Responsibilities will include: Delivering year end and interim reports Preparation of statutory accounts for subsidiary businesses Manage, develop and motivate a team of qualified finance professionals Preparation and presentation of board reports Overseeing the roll out of new IFRS accounting standards and ensuring correct application across the business Taking ownership for all financial aspects of the annual report Develop a continuous improvement mindset throughout the team for reporting processes Be the lead for all external audit queries The person we are looking for: Qualified accountant (Big 4 ACA background desirable) Experience of reporting for a listed business, ideally in a group function Up to date technical knowledge, specifically around IFRS standards Proven leadership skills, with a willingness to be hands on when necessary Strong communicator with the credibility and gravitas to interact with board level stakeholders A track record of high performance throughout your career There is loads of opportunity to make a difference in this role and really put your stamp on the business.A six-figure package is on offer as is the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become a Group FC in the future.Get in contact with your CV for immediate consideration.
