Reporting Accountant
Birmingham | Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant to join a well-established business in Birmingham in a broad Reporting Accountant role.
This would suit someone who has recently completed their ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and is looking to take the next step in their career within a sizeable and commercially focused finance function.
Working as part of the wider finance team, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting while gaining exposure across a varied business.
The role
Responsibilities are likely to include:
* Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
* Preparation and review of management and statutory reporting information
* Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activity
* Providing analysis and commentary around financial performance
* Working with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
* Supporting audit requirements and process improvement
* Assisting with ad hoc reporting and wider finance projects
About you
We are looking for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting.
You may currently be working in practice and considering your first move into industry, or already be working within a finance team and looking for a broader role with greater exposure.
You will ideally have:
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be at the point of qualifying
* Strong financial accounting and reporting knowledge
* Good analytical skills and attention to detail
* Confidence working with financial data and Excel
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive approach and willingness to develop
