MakeReady, Churchill’s market-leading solution for the ambulance sector, ensures that all ambulance vehicles and stations are fully equipped, stocked, cleaned and serviced in a manner that enables a rapid and efficient response to any situation. As a Make Ready Driver, you will have the all-important duty of providing efficient and reliable transportation of Trust vehicles to and from ambulance stations, Fleet workshops and other contractors. Working alone and in full compliance with current legislation. You’ll be part of a friendly team, all working together to create outstandingly clean and safe environments that make our clients happy.
As a Make Ready Driver, you will be looking after and plan movements efficiently and to assist workshop staff as required, carrying out minor repairs and maintenance on Trust vehicles as instructed and trained. Your safety is very important to us, so we will make sure that you’re aware of our latest policies and will provide the necessary training required to carry out your role.

As a Fleet Driver you’ll have:
- Full driving licence, maximum of 3 points on driving licence.
- Drivers qualifying since January 1997 must have C1 classification on their licence.
- Basic Road Transport Legislation.
- Basic vehicle maintenance.
- Two years driving experience.
- Experience of driving light goods vehicles.
- Flexibility to do some shift work.
