We are searching for a Risk Assessor to support with the delivery of all aspects of the water hygiene compliance contracts within their area. Reporting into the Risk Assessor Manager, the Legionella Risk Assessor will be responsible for undertaking legionella risk assessments, risk assessment reviews and surveys on a wide variety of water systems and will require a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all risk assessment reports and their satisfactory completion and quality checking, prior to issue.
Main Duties- To carry out Legionella Risk assessments, reviews and surveys in line with company procedures and method statements.
- Ensure all survey forms and work records (electronic system based) are complete and accurate.
- Assist with technical development of the risk assessment document.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and recorded, and are complete and accurate.
- Ensure all arrangements for visits with clients are made in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide full support to Service Manager, as and when required.
- Any other reasonable tasks as required.
- Effective communication with good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization, and with 3rd parties.
- An ability to proactively identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to a resolution.
- An ability to attain an accurate and consistent standard of service.
- An ability to work on own initiative and positively as a team member.
- Computer literacy, with the ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office package and bespoke software/databases.
- At least 1 year risk assessing experience.
- City and Guilds Qualification.
- A detailed working knowledge of the HSE’s ACoP L8, HSG274 and HTM-04-01.
- An excellent understanding of Water Regulations and hold an appropriate certificate.
- Full Driving Licence.
