We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing Chequers division, which delivers high-quality cleaning and grounds maintenance services to local authorities and housing associations across the UK. Partnering with operational leaders and key stakeholders, you will deliver expert HR guidance across employee relations, organisational change, performance, engagement, and workforce planning, helping to drive business performance and manage people-related risk in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

As a HR Business Partner you’ll be:

  • Acting as a single point of the Human Resources contact for the managers in the business unit
  • Managing complex and difficult HR Projects & ER related activity
  • Actively identifying gaps, proposing, and implementing changes necessary to cover risks
  • Influencing the management team to bring best solutions for employees and the business
  • Acting as the performance improvement driver, provoking positive change in the people management
  • Designing succession plans for key talents and key job positions
  • Challenging the organisational structure of the internal client and proposing changes

As a HR Business Partner you’ll have:

  • HR Business Partner experience at a senior level, ideally within the Facilities Management Sector
  • Excellent knowledge of Employment Law and the ability to deal with complex case management including trade union cases
  • Strong consultation, influencing, negotiation and mediation skills
  • Considerable working knowledge/understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusiveness
  • Experience of managing TUPE transfers

Desirable qualifications/experience:

  • CIPD qualified (Level 5/7)
