Overview
Based in Luton or Gateshead. We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team, supporting a diverse range of management across the business with complex Employee Relations (ER) cases.
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide expert, inclusive advice on ER cases, including absence management, redundancies, disciplinaries, and grievances. If you are an experienced ER Advisor with a commercial background and a commitment to fostering inclusive and fair working environments, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and guiding employees and managers in navigating Employee Relations processes, ensuring a fair, inclusive, and respectful approach to all cases.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are followed while promoting a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all ER matters.
- Assisting the Head of HR with the completion of ET3 forms and production of Employment Tribunal Bundles.
- Creating confidential monthly statistical reports on ER cases, tribunals, compromise agreements, sickness, and employee turnover, identifying key trends and supporting improvements.
- Taking on ad-hoc projects to support the ongoing development of our ER processes and policies.
Qualifications
- Experience within the private sector with a strong sense of commercial awareness and a commitment to fairness and inclusion in all ER matters.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, building trust and fostering open, supportive communication.
- Solid generalist ER experience, ideally gained in fast-paced, diverse environments.
- A strong ability to manage high volumes of cases, with excellent prioritisation skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
- A comprehensive understanding of HR policies, employment legislation, and related processes, including redundancies, TUPE, DBS, Security Vetting, grievance, disciplinary, and termination management.
