We are looking for well-rounded operatives proficient in both Shuttering Carpentry and Steel Fixing. You will be working on varied civil engineering projects, ranging from heavy infrastructure to structural concrete works.
The company believes in upskilling their team. If you are strong in one area but need development in another, they will support you. They are also committed to putting the right candidates through CPCS/NPORS machine tickets (Dumper, Roller, 360 Excavator) to make you a complete all-rounder.
Key Responsibilities:- Formwork: Erection and striking of formwork, including traditional timber and system formwork (Peri/Doka).
- Steel Fixing: Cutting, bending, and fixing reinforcement steel according to technical drawings.
- Concrete Works: Pouring and finishing concrete to high industry standards.
- General Civils: Assisting with groundworks duties as required; we need "team players" willing to muck in to ensure project delivery.
- Experience: Proven experience in BOTH Shuttering Carpentry and Steel Fixing.
- Technical: Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Essential for Company Van).
- CSCS: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).
- Location: Must be based in Brighton or along the Mid-Sussex corridor (Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Crawley, Shoreham).
- Flexible Payment Options: Self-Employed (CIS): £24.00 - £26.00 per hour. PAYE: £20.00 - £22.00 per hour (Plus Holiday Pay & Pension).
- Company Van & Fuel Card: Provided from day one.
- Training: Paid courses for Dumper, Roller, and 360 Excavator tickets.
- Security: Long-term job security with a reputable local contractor.
