Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Director / Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our tax advisory practice, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the firm's tax advisory services.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Represent the firm at industry events and maintain a strong network of professional relationships.
- Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their tax needs are met with the highest level of expertise and service.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Oversee complex tax compliance and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, providing thought leadership and insights to clients and the firm.
- Deliver innovative tax solutions that align with clients' business objectives and mitigate risks.
- Handle complex tax matters, including international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and tax audits.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving growth and expanding the firm's client base.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation in the market.
- Prepare and present proposals for new client engagements, showcasing the firm's capabilities and expertise.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 15-20 yearsβ experience
- CTA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record of success in a senior tax advisory role, ideally within a specialist tax consultancy or a Big Four firm.
- Exceptional knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
