Churchill Estates Management (CEM) is a progressive and expanding retirement property management business. Due to a successful internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team as Head of Commercial (new business), responsible for the commercial growth of CEM and sister company, Careline Support Ltd.
About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director, our new Head of Commercial will be responsible for the development and implementation of commercial strategies, aligned to company goals and objectives. As Head of Commercial you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive revenue and accelerate business growth.
- Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans for the growth of the business through mergers, partnerships, and new markets.
- Delivering budgeted revenues identified in the business plans, taking account of marketing and e-commerce opportunities.
- Creating project bids and plans to inform the CEM Directors of opportunities, ensuring timescales, costs and resources are considered.
- Undertaking tender and pitch presentations with new clients, leading on negotiations.
- Effectively managing client relationships, stakeholders, and Director expectations.
- Ensuring effective onboarding of new business acquisitions, communicating with all internal departments to provide a smooth transition.
- Researching and interpreting market trends, adapting to industry changes and evolving strategies in line with market conditions.
- Analysing and reporting on performance against contractual requirements, commercial activities and financial obligations.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and project management.
- Team management and direction, working in close partnership with the Marketing & Design Manager and Legal Administration team.
About you
As Head of Commercial it is essential to demonstrate strong entrepreneurial skills, with a keen eye for recognising and acting upon new business opportunities. You will be able to showcase a proven track record in understanding your markets, delivering seamless pitch presentations, excellent negotiation skills and the ability to win new business, along with the financial awareness to work to budgets and the tenacity and attention to detail to get the deal over the line. You will be an excellent communicator, able to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, and in addition you will present as a credible, professional, and inspirational leader with proven managerial skills and the ability to coach, develop and motivate people. We would prefer that your experience sits within the property management or call centre environment, with experience of influencing at a senior level with internal and external stakeholders.
